I come from a masculinity my father embodied - discipline, responsibility, fire, courage.
He fled across the sea as a boat refugee, risking his life so his family could have a dignified life.
He worked hard. Built a life. Paid off his debts. Provided material security.
But he neither felt nor spoke about it. He lived purely on willpower.
For a long time, I followed his path.
I worked relentlessly. Built impossible projects. Earned my first million.
“Work hard, play hard” - was my motto.
There was fire. Strength. Courage.
And still, I felt empty.
I lived outside of myself to avoid feeling what was inside.

Everything shifted when I became a father. Life was no longer just about me.
My daughter didn’t care about success. She was asking for presence.
My body gave out. I couldn’t keep running. I had to slow down.
Here I was a young father with an unhealthy body and a heart asking for truth.
My relationship got stuck because I couldn’t truly connect.
I wasn’t the man I wanted to be.
At thirty-three, I knew: this path no longer fits.
I had to start over. But I had no real example to guide me.
Kundalini Yoga entered my life and supported me deeply.
But the male teachers I met often taught from authority, not shared presence.
That didn’t touch me.
I felt: “I carry my own wisdom. I want to meet it.”
But layers of pain and blockage stood in the way.
My masculine needed a container. Real men. Real connection.
I found it in a blue tent at the Kundalini Yoga Festivals, a place where men met, breathed, talked, and felt.
I felt the sense of Brotherhood.
Men willing to break the old example. To heal.

Most men’s groups speak to only one side of us, the side that performs, pushes, wins.
To live from strength and softness.
That touched something deep in me.
And I knew I wanted to support men returning to wholeness.
Then Órgiva with its Almendras Blancas retreat centre appeared on my path. A place nurtured by all the elements and grounded in men’s work, ready to carry new circles.
And so I invite you to step into this sacred field of nature and divine masculine energy. To release your masks and harness so that you can connect to all of you again. So that you can give the world your full potential and contribute to a world worth living for.
If something here feels familiar. If you feel the pull to slow down, to feel yourself and to come home.
Then come with me. Let us discover together what it means to be a whole man.
In relationship with yourself.
For our inner selves,
For the people we love,
For the precious earth we live on.

This retreat is about wholeness.
We work with Kundalini Yoga, breath, silence, men’s work, and nature to awaken inner fire and learn how to hold it with softness.
We do this in a place that is alive, where the earth still breathes, where light work and organic farming come together, and everything feels aligned.
And from there, we continue together.
The connection doesn’t end with the retreat.
You continue with

This is not a temporary experience.
It is a movement of men supporting one another.
When you stand in your fullness, your relationships,
your family life, your work, your reason to live.
It asks for presence.
For the courage to feel.
For bringing the heart back into life.
But most men never had that example.
We grew up with fathers and grandfathers who worked hard, stayed strong, and rarely spoke about what lived inside them.
We learned that vulnerability was feminine.
That emotions were dangerous.
And so we became disconnected from something essential.

In many families, the mother carried the emotional space, while the father stayed at a distance, focused on duty.
Children rarely saw two adults who could feel together, speak together, and carry life together.
They did not witness real connection.
They did not experience emotional safety between adults.
This is the legacy many of us carry today.
Deep down, we know it has to change.
Because unless men learn to feel again, we cannot build something safe and grounded for ourselves, our families,
and the children growing up now.

A longing not only to be strong, but to truly feel.
To speak from the heart again without shame or resistance.
Many men feel this call to become softer, not weaker.
To learn what it means to relate with awareness to your partner, your children, your parents, and other men.
We long for places, where we no longer have to pretend to always be strong.
Where we can admit when it is hard.
Where grief, silence, and pride can exist side by side.
A place where a man can lay down his armor, open his heart, and learn what strength is
When he does not fight, but open to his entire sensory system.
Because only when we meet our own tenderness can we begin to heal the world
that has been hard for far too long.

Here, among the Andalusian mountains, almond trees, and pools filled with fresh water, we take time to slow down, go deeper, and reconnect with ourselves, our bodies, and what truly matters.
Our days are shaped by Kundalini Yoga, breathwork, men’s rituals, and shared moments of brotherhood.
Each morning begins with Kundalini Yoga at sunrise, accompanied by live music. We awaken the energy in the body, open the breath, and let the day unfold gently.
Afterwards, we share organic, locally sourced meals, simple nourishment prepared with care.
Throughout the day, we work together in group practices and men’s work, supporting one another through what arises.
In the afternoon there is also time just to catch up on your well deserved rest, enjoy the nature, have a walk into town, just to feel what you need in the moment.
We work with presence and the intelligence of the body, held by moments of humor, silence, and simple togetherness.

This retreat is guided by Jan and Sandesh.
Jan is one of the founders of Territory and has been devoted to men’s work for many years. Through weekly men’s circles, he creates grounded and safe spaces where men can slow down, open up, and remember who they truly are beneath the pressure of life.
Sandesh has walked the path of Kundalini Yoga for more than 14 years and is co-owner of the Kundalini Yoga Club. His passion is bringing men together again. Not to compete. Not to perform. But to feel, connect, and heal in the presence of other men.
Together, they hold this retreat with one shared intention:
To create a space where you can simply be yourself. Take of your masks, no need to prove anything, vulnerability and openness are valued.
Just men coming together to reconnect with their body, heart, mission, and inner strength. A space to breathe again, to feel again, to remember again your true self.
We look forward to guide you there.

What do other men think of Almendras Blancas?
I have practised Kundalini under Sandesh’s instruction and found his depth of knowledge, guidance, and delivery very well suited to the way I learn.
As a highly energetic student, I needed to work on foundations, patience, and consistency. Sandesh was able to guide me towards what felt most appropriate for my energy, my development, and my path.
His teaching is grounded, clear, and supportive, with enough depth to challenge you while still allowing space to grow at your own pace. I found his approach both practical and insightful, and I would recommend his teaching to anyone looking to explore Kundalini with sincerity and proper guidance.

When i joined online White Light peace Prayer Day Last Winter in was intrigued by its global Community Vision.
It manifested through Sandesh’s Vision, heartfelt presence, clear awareness, and supportive attitude - which resonated with me immediately.
Sandesh creates spaces where men can open, grow, and reconnect with themselves. I always feel supported by his positive and encouraging attitude, which helps me step into my strength and trust myself more each time.

For me, Hai Vo, also known as Sandesh, is a truly special and spiritual person. During several sessions, he guided me in a deeply valuable way. With him, I always feel completely at ease. It feels safe and natural to open up and explore together the resistances and challenges that life sometimes brings. He thinks with you, feels with you, and offers insights that truly resonate on a deep level. His helpfulness and involvement are sincere and warm. What continues to stand out to me is the beautiful energy he carries with him — calm, powerful, and pure.
I am deeply grateful for everything he has meant to me, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who is seeking deeper connection, healing, and a safe space to discover themselves.

Why now
October is no coincidence. It is the time of harvest.
A moment to come to rest and look back at the year.
To see the seeds you planted and nourished, and what has grown from it.
To reap the fruits, learn from the lessons, and take with you what is needed.
The old way of showing strength no longer works.
The world needs men who can carry rather than push — conscious fathers, present partners, steady brothers.
I stand in my power. I am grounded.
I am open. I am supported.
stable and flowing,
strong and gentle.
and trust the strength
that already lives within you.
You become part of a growing field of men,
supporting one another with strength, clarity, and gentleness.

“Almandras Blancas is a magical place. All the time you experience synchronicity. You enter in a flow stage easily with the wonderful nature and the lovely people who surround you when staying here. It’s my hidden gem in Spain, protected by the rough mountains of the Alpujarras”
Mark, Events Manager

“"I’ve been attending Jan’s men’s circle for the last two months. Having experienced other circles in the UK and Poland, I can say that Jan’s sessions stand out. His approach to somatic grounding at the beginning of each meeting creates a profound sense of self-connection. I immediately felt welcome and safe. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an authentic, heart opening and grounded experience”
